Husband Chopped Off Wife’s Feet with a machete after suspecting her of adultery

Marcio Matthew Salazar accused of femicide against wife Heydi Waleska Hernandez

Marcio Matthew Salazar, 42, chopped off each wife’s foot off at the ankle using a machete after and later said that it was “just a little bit of anger”. When doctors came to the couple’s home it was too late, Heydi Waleska Hernandez’ was so badly injured medics could not save either body part. The woman lost her right leg halfway down the shin and her left ankle and foot. By the way, Salazar and Hernandez have three children together.

Speaking about the attack, the man said: “I am a Christian man, but my wife lied to me to tell me he was going out with her brother on an errand to Choloma, which was not true. On Saturday afternoon I found my brother-in-law and he told me that he had not seen my wife. In reality, my wife had gone with a cousin, but she said she would return home at two in the afternoon and arrived four hours later, which angered me.

When she came home, I took the machete that I kept under the bed. I didn’t intend to kill her – she put her feet up in the way when I was gripping the knife. A human error, that’s all. It was a moment in which I was blinded by jealousy and although I have no proof that my wife is unfaithful, I have suspicions of possible deception. I’m sorry and perhaps it is not too late to forgive me. I love her and have always wanted her. It was just a little bit of anger.”

And although Salazar has been charged with femicide against his own wife, he still believes she’ll forgive him.
