Rush Limbaugh held nothing back in a rant against Caitlyn Jenner on his talk show, in which he questions how the Olympian can ‘become a woman’ if she hasn’t had her penis removed yet. Read his shocking comments here.
For the most part, Caitlyn Jenner, 65, has received overwhelming support since debuting her look as a woman on June 1. But Rush Limbaugh is among the few harsh haters who have nothing nice to say. On a recent episode of The Rush Limbaugh Show, the talk show host discusses Caitlyn’s transition, specifically, questioning what the deal is with her genitalia. And it’s SO mean.
For the talk show segment, Rush references some interviews done by Nancy Grace with experts about the subject. But when he finds out that nobody knows whether or not Caitlyn has had her ‘bottom surgery’ done yet, he doesn’t hold back from sharing his confusion.
“How can you become a woman if you haven’t had the chopadickoffamy?!” he wonders, offensively making up his own word for the procedure. Then, when Nancy’s expert explains that a trans man or woman is supposed to wait a full year before having the genital sugary done, he even cracks up laughing about the facts!
“Why is it mandatory to live for a year before you have the ‘bottom surgery?'” he questions. “Why would you have to wait a year? Is there some sort of psychological hormonal thing that you have to do to adjust? Or is it a commitment thing? You show people you’re really dead serious about this, so you have to do that for a year. What happens, by the way, if nine months in you fail? Maybe that’s why they wait. That would be point of no return. Maybe they wait to see if somebody’s really serious about this.”
This is obviously nothing to joke about, and the fact that Rush is talking about it in such a way is incredibly offensive. We hope Caitlyn is only reading the supportive comments and not worrying about what the uninformed haters have to say!
While most people aren’t so harsh and straight-forward about their questions regarding Caitlyn’s transition, it is something that hasn’t been discussed much publicly, and so there has naturally been some confusion about what exactly is going on. One thing many are wondering is: What will Caitlyn’s kids call her?
The 65-year-old is telling her ten children to still call her ‘Dad,’ according to People Magazine. “She spoke to each of the kids separately and told them to take their time getting used to this,” the mag reports. “She would prefer not to be called ‘Bruce,’ but told the kids they could still call her dad, at least for now.”
In the Keeping Up With The Kardashians special ‘About Bruce,’ Caitlyn, still Bruce Jenner at the time, made it clear to his kids that he would always be their ‘dad,’ so it’s not all that surprising that she’s going to allow them to call her that for the time being. The whole thing is so much to handle, so it’s nice that the kids have something constant as all these changes keep happening!
