A man was robbed and then raped by another man in Detroit on Tuesday morning. The 21-year-old claims he was driving home from work when a man came up to his car at a red light near Cadieux and Harper.
The victim reports that the stranger allegedly tapped on the passenger side window with a gun and forced him to open the door. The stranger then told the victim to take him to a nearby ATM, when the victim noticed a dark colored car following behind them.
The victim then alleged that he was forced to withdraw money and give it to the gunman, but that wasn’t where it ended.
According to police, the victim said he was taken to a secluded area where he was raped by more than one man. The other person who assaulted him was short and wore a pink shirt and white jogging pants.
Police say there have been at least 431 sexual assault cases in the city this year and residents fear for the worst.
