Diddy, 46, totally complimented his ex, Jennifer Lopez, 46, in the sweetest way possible during the Nov. 22 American Music Awards. And in that moment, he reignited any hope we had for them to get back together.
“Can we give it up for Jennifer Lopez one time?” Diddy asked the audience walking on stage to present an award to Justin Bieber. He also gave a shoutout to The Weeknd, but it was his acknowledgement of Jennifer’s mind-blowing opening performance that got the most cheers. Clearly, there were a lot of Diddy/J.Lo shippers in the audience.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Jennifer performed a super sexy dance routine to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” Beyonce and Nicki Minaj‘s “Feeling Myself,” Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood,” and so many more songs from 2015. And on top of that, Jennifer hosted the entire three-hour show, so she definitely deserved the praise she got from Diddy. But considering the compliment came from her ex, we have a feeling it meant that much more to her.
Jennifer and Diddy dated in the late 90s, but didn’t acknowledge their relationship until September 1999. However, they were reportedly dating for months before that. Jennifer was with Diddy (Puffy Daddy at the time) when his entourage got into a nightclub argument in New York City, which ended in gunfire. Jennifer and Diddy were both arrested in connection with the shooting, but she was later cleared of any charges. Diddy was only acquitted after a two-year criminal process. Unfortunately, it all took a toll on the couple’s relationship and they split.
