U.S. attorney general Loretta lynch’s stepdaughter, 21, ends up in jail holding cell after failing to pay $20 Uber fare

The stepdaughter of U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch was put in a jail holding cell in Brooklyn after failing to pay an Uber driver.
Kia Absalom, who is the daughter of Lynch’s husband Steve Hargrove, couldn’t pay the $20 Uber cab fare she owed last week, so the driver, Hassan Almaweri, 58, drove her to the police station in Canarsie on December 28, reported.

‘I asked her to pay me,’ Almaweri told the outlet. ‘She said, ‘No, I paid by the app. I said, ‘What do you mean, the app?’The taxi driver is signed up with UberT, which allows riders to use Uber to book a cab through the app and then pay the cabbie directly.

Absalom apparently did not have any cash on her, nor any credit cards.
