Woman shot, man stabbed as argument turns violent outside Brooklyn nightclub, 2 men shot in Bronx


A woman was shot and a man was stabbed after an argument erupted inside a Brooklyn nightclub early Friday, police said.

The fracas started inside the Club Republic hookah bar and dance club on Broadway near Myrtle Ave. in Bushwick around 1:30 a.m., according to cops.

The argument spilled into the street where a 20-year-old woman was shot once in the leg and a 32-year-old man was stabbed in the gut.

Both were taken to Kings County Hospital and are expected to survive, police said.

At the scene, police were looking at surveillance video in a Dunkin’ Donuts steps away from the club and a Checkers restaurant where a window was shattered.

No arrests have been made.

Minutes earlier, a man was shot in the leg on Bailey Ave. near W. 233rd St. in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, police said. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital after the 1:20 a.m. shooting and is expected to survive. The gunman has not been caught.

About the same time, a 52-year-old man shot himself in the leg on Davidson Ave. near W 177th St. in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, police said. He was also taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and is in stable condition.
