Yoruba youth commends Jonathan on confab report


The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC) has commended President Goodluck Jonathan on the current effort towards the implementation of the National Conference reports.

National President of YYC, Eric Oluwole, gave the commendation in Lagos while speaking with Sunday Independent.

“We the Yoruba youths in the country and beyond believe that the implementation of the conference reports would lead to the development of Yoruba kingdom and the country,” he said.

Oluwole further stated that the group has resolved to embark on sensitisation of the people on the benefits of the conference reports to Yoruba race.

“The youth wing of the Apex Yoruba social cultural organisation, Afenifere, has resolved to embark on ward to ward sensitisation of Yoruba people and her youths mostly in all Yoruba controlled states to educate our people on the benefits of conference implementation to the Yoruba race”.

Oluwole also stated that the re-election of President Jonathan would facilitate the implementation of the conference report.

“The decision to support the aspiration of President Goodluck Jonathan was to ensure that the report is implemented with his re-election”.

The Youth Council expressed appreciation to effort of some national leaders to the growth of the country and youth orgainisations.

“The effort of Chief Edwin Clark is most supportive and inspiring and Afenifere leaders, who in their desire to see the implementation of the conference report, decided to support Jonathan?s second term agenda.?
