The decomposed body of Prof. Albert Ilemobade has been found in his abandoned store at his Ijapo Estate Akure residence. The 80-year-old erudite professor was allegedly killed by his driver and security man.
They were arrested somewhere at Ogun State border by the Nigeria police. The corpse was discovered in the early hours of today.
Contrary to reports earlier published that the said Professor Albert Ilemobade, a former vice chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure FUTA has been kidnapped.
Security sources said he was kidnapped Monday morning at his Ijapo Akure residence .It was further learned that the gunmen drove him away in his car.
Already there is a big man-hunt for the former VC as operatives of the State Security Service, SSS,the , police and other agents are on the trail of the kidnappers.
Ilemobade was the VC of FUTA between 1987 and 1995 .He is currently , the President and CEO of Upline Resources Foundation ,URF.
When the sad news was broken to members of his Archbishop Vining Anglican Church this morning, members sobbed profusely wondering how such fate could befall a harmless gentleman.
