In a drama that may have multidimensional endings, five Deputy Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service held a meeting today and agreed to tender their voluntary resignation. See attached document.

The officers involved are DCG A.J. Atte, DCG T.A. Musa, DCG I.M. Mera, DCG A.C. Nwosu, and DCG A.A. Adewuyi.
It can be recalled that the new Comptroller General of the Customs, Colonel Hameed Ali (Rtd) has vowed to eradicate corruption at the Customs Service, which is the second biggest revenue earner for Nigeria.
At the time of filing this report, it is unclear whether these very senior officers are the ones Colonel Hameed Ali is alleged to have passed their names to the State Security Service for thorough investigation because of wide scale corruption.
