Chris Brown accused of punching woman in the face after 'she took his photo during party in Vegas hotel suite'

Brown is set for a trial run residency with a possibility for a long term deal at Drai's in Las Vegas

The new year has just begun and singer Chris Brown is being accused of punching a woman in the face during a party in his Las Vegas hotel suite.

The incident allegedly occurred after the R&B singer caught the woman taking his photo in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, TMZ reported.

A picture published by the website showed the woman with an obvious black eye.

Liziane Gutierrez, the alleged victim, who wanted to be identified by the website despite the accusations, told TMZ she had snuck her cellphone past Brown's security guards.

After Brown spotted her taking his picture, she told TMZ, he yelled and punched her once in the face and took her phone.

Gutierrez, who is a Brazilian model, left the party, only calling police some hours later, and was not treated at hospital.

Vegas police confirmed to local news outlet Las Vegas Now that they were investigating Brown for battery and theft and that the incident was reported to them at 10.20am on January 2.

Brown posted a now deleted video to his Instagram that was first re-posted by celebrity gossip site, The Shade Room Inc, where he labeled Gutierrez as 'ugly' and denied her claims against him.

'Obviously somebody is looking to get a check or start some s***,' the singer known as Breezy said in the beginning of the video while appearing to be spaced out and rubbing his head.

'I don't know this old looking b****. This b**** is old, like dusty, look at her in the Jason Derulo video.

'Like she came to Vegas, she probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.'

In the now deleted post, Brown wrote in the caption: 'Just woke up and saw this!!!! You know this is bulls***!'

'This woman has the worst case of the uglies (sic) I've ever seen. I guess she is in Vegas hoping someone will slip up and mess wit (sic) her. Lol.'

A representative for the performer, who recently released an album named after his daughter Royalty, denied Gutierrez's claims earlier Saturday.

'Making false accusations seems to be a pattern of behavior for Ms. Gutierrez. Whatever her motives, her statements are unequivocally untrue,' a statement from Brown's rep reads.

'Ms Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control.

'Once she was in the hallway, while waiting for Chris Brown's security to bring out her phone, she had a total meltdown-throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she 'could buy everyone in the hotel'-as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party.

'The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel.

'Her claim that she had her phone in her possession inside the after party and was able to take a photo causing an altercation with Chris Brown is a complete fabrication.

'I'm not sure what mood altering substances Ms Guitterz (sic) was on but her statements are completely false and not based in reality. This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego.'

Brown took to Instagram for a second time early Sunday posting a selfie of himself, and writing in the caption: 'Keeping my circle small in 2016! I'm done taking the care of grown ass men.

'And I'm going to be hella (sic) rich after all the lawsuits I file from these crazy individuals who keep lying on my name. Happy NEW YEAR! Time for some of us to grow the f*** up!'

Chris Brown posted the above photo early Sunday morning
