Lamar Odom hasn’t been photographed since his tragic overdose on October 13, but son Lamar Odom Jr. assuaged fears and posted a pic of his father to Instagram on December 31. The NBA star is looking well, and it even looks like he may have taken the selfie!
“Christmas with my pops. Here’s to 2016. Blessed,” Lamar Jr. captioned his private Instagram, posted on New Year’s Eve, along with a prayer hands emoji. In the photo, Lamar’s face is only halfway in the frame, but there’s the faintest hint of a smile on his face. Lamar Jr. and Destiny Odom look overjoyed to be spending the holidays with their father, Destiny sticking her tongue out at the camera, Lamar Jr. attempting to stifle a laugh.
It’s unclear where the picture was taken, since it’s shot so close up, but it’s presumably in Lamar’s hospital room; he has remained in the hospital (now at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles) since his shocking overdose at a Nevada brothel on October 13. As an insider told E! News, Lamar’s wife Khloe Kardashian paid to fly out his children on Tuesday, December 29, so that they could spend time with their father for the holidays.
