At age ten (10), Evelyn was married off to a native doctor because of the money her Parents borrowed, to get a goat and a fowl for sacrifice. Hmmmmmmmm...
She was eventually rejected by her family and community over fear of the native doctor's charm that means no one wants to associate with her. frustrated and no where to stay with no one to call her family, she was coaxed into sleeping with a man that got her pregnant at the age of 15 years before she could find her way to Abuja, all in a bit to escape the rejection back home.
She then became prey to different men after her only relative that accepted her was forced to send her away on the advise of her people and so the cruelty against her sontinued. What a cruel world... I would have said her story be written in a book but our readership culture will mean that not so many people will get to hear about it. I will suggest it be made into a movie, so people will be aware of the difficult challenges the girl child faces even in the 21st century.
This is a very touching story that is capable of leaving everyone steamy eyed. This is the most difficult video I have ever watched. I have never watch any video and cried. This was my first. They say you can't know how sorrowful a situation is until you are affected by it. This just happened to me. Watch this clip bellow for more details.
