Unfortunately, it is very common to hear stories of infidelity involving the other spouse’s best friend, whether it be the husband or the wife committing adultery.

It is the ultimate betrayal and an act that most times is unforgivable. However, this man has told his side of the story and why he did what he did after his wife and best friend betrayed him.

According to the husband, he and his wife were about to celebrate their 10th year anniversary when he came home early from work one day and found his best friend (from childhood) having sex with his wife.

He said, “My instant reaction was to get a machete from the back of the house. But within a few seconds, I realized that would be a wicked thing to do.”

So the distraught husband sat down in his kitchen and poured himself a drink. Within minutes, the two infidels came out fully clothed begging for forgiveness. His friend tried to say sorry while reaching for his hand, but he continued to yell at him.

After several minutes passed, the husband calmed himself and started asking for answers. His wife pleaded with him but he wasn’t trying to hear it.

According to the two, it had been the first and only time this had happened, and it wasn’t planned at all. The friend came by to drop off groceries and one thing led to another and they ended up in bed.

The husband wanted to do the right thing and stay in his marriage, but things just weren’t the same. He didn’t want to touch her or get near her sexually, no matter how much she begged. He was so relieved that she got her period, and thankful that she wasn’t pregnant.

The incident had scarred him deeply, so one day he decided to meet his old friend in a public place to talk about things. The husband knew his friend struggled with sex addiction and it was what ended his own marriage. The friend begged for forgiveness yet another time, and the husband said, “I forgive you.”

The husband considers himself a religious man and figured it was the right thing to do. And although he decided to stay with his cheating wife, he hasn’t been able to sleep with her or tell her he loves her, even though he still has strong feelings for her.
