This horrific picture shows a teenage girl beating a rival and slamming her head onto the road while her mother stands by encouraging her.
The incident was captured on a mobile phone by a bystander who watched the fight in Monterrey, in the north-eastern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.
In the shocking picture, the mother lurks behind as her daughter pinned down the other girl, punching her in the face, pulling her hair and yanking her arm.
In the unsavoury incident, she also scratches the girl’s face and continually hits her head onto the concrete.
