Wrongfully convicted Brooklyn man to receive $3.75M settlement


Roger Logan, 54, spent nearly 17 years behind bars for the 1997 murder of Sherwin Gibbons and was freed in 2014.

A fifth Brooklyn man who was wrongfully convicted because of the questionable tactics of disgraced retired NYPD Detective Louis Scarcella will receive a $3.75 million settlement from the city.

Roger Logan, 54, spent nearly 17 years behind bars for the 1997 murder of Sherwin Gibbons and was freed in 2014. He filed a notice of claim alleging police and prosecutorial misconduct.
